2026 Greenwood Floodlit - Draw Now Available!
The draw for this year's Greenwood Floodlit competition is now online and can be viewed under the 'Tables' option, or directly here.
This year, we have maintained the same handicapping system but have reset the lowest handicap to zero. This means last year's winners and Division One leaders for this season, Coronation A, will be starting off scratch; by contrast, Poynton Sports at the bottom of Division Four will have a handicap of 88. In practice, the difference between the top team and the bottom team remains the same (the top team last season had a handicap of -16, while the bottom team had a handicap of 72 - a difference of 88 points). This makes things simpler when calculating the winner of each game.
Where possible, we have tried to place only one game on each green in the prelim and first round, but due to a limitation in the number of greens available, there are a small number of greens hosting two games in these early rounds. This means each fixture will need to play two blocks at a time for these games, before reverting to three blocks at a time when one fixture is taking place per green.
We will be emailing the draw to all club secretaries imminently. It is your club's responsibility to make sure somebody opens up the green for any fixtures taking place. Please let the Match Secretary, Mark Bowers, know if your green is unavailable for any reason ASAP (this should have been done before 30th June in our rules, but we understand emergency works can happen. for example). This will ensure all games take place effectively.

2026 MDBA Competitions

We have booked the venues for our 2026 season competitions. These are as follows:
26th April - Hayman Singles @ Coronation BC, Congleton.
31st May - Stan Mason LOD pair. @ Packhorse, Macclesfield
28th June - Maureen Bennett Singles @ The Railway, Congleton
26th July - Victory Pairs LOD @ South Park BC (3rd & 4th divisions only)
13th September - Neckwear Singles @ Wilmslow Cons
All competitions will start at 9,30am - and cost £5.00 per person entrants fee. Refreshments to buy will be provided by the hosting club.
