Thank you to Langworthy for hosting the final. Congratulations to Chris Marsden (Barrfield) the winner of the competition receiving the cup from Alan Scoresby

Gold Cup - 7th & 9th May 2024. Qualifying greens Langworthy & Ordsall. Final at the Height.
Merit - 4th & 6th June 2024. Qualifying greens Barrfield and Victoria Park, Final at Chandos.
Langworthy - 9th & 11th July 2024. Qualifying greens Moorlands & Chandos. Final at Langworthy.
Harry Howarth - 6th & 8th August 2024. Qualifying green Ordsall. Final at Albert Park.
5-a-side competition - 10th & 12th September - green to be decided.

Merit competition winners
Congratulations to Pete Largan (Chandos) the winner of the competition and Steve "Curly" Pritchard (Barrfield) the runner up.
Pete beat Bob Helps (Height) and Steve beat Joy Bach (Barrield) in the semi finals.
Thanks to Chandos and Brian Johnson for hosting the competition on what turned out to be a sunny day.

Best v The Rest competition
The competition was held at Moorlands Bowling Club on 14th September followed by a buffet and the presentation of cups and prizes. The winners this year were The Rest, winning by 14 points.

The Competition will be held on Thursday 14th September at Moorlands. Arrive at 11 am to start 11.30am. There will be a cold buffet following the game.
Players for The Rest team are: Alan Scoresby (Captain), Bill Dale (Albert Park), Brian Johnson and Pete Largon (Chandos), Ken Watson and Margaret Barrett (Height) Mike Catterall (Langworthy), , Paul Johnson (Moorlands), Irene Leslie (Ordsall), and Geoff Parkes (Victoria Park).

Congratulations to Brian Johnson (Chandos) the winner of the competition and to Ken Watson (Height) who was beaten in a close game which finished 21-20. The other semi-finalists were Bob Helps (Height) and Bill Dale (Albert Park).
The sun shone all day and Frank Aldred thanked all the spectators who turned up to watch the match.
