LEAGUE HANDICAP - CANCELLED

Due to lack of entries the League Handicap, due to have been played at Hadfield , this Sunday 28th June has now been cancelled.

It is unfortunate that 2 of the 3 competitions have been cancelled this year due to lack of entries.

If anyone can think of any suggestions of changes to make to ensure the competitions continue to run, please mention them at the Delegates Meeting later this year, or to any committee member. 

I am sure everyone would like these competitions to continue.

League Handicap IMPORTANT

The League Handicap this year may be cancelled due to lack of entries.

PLEASE, PLEASE enter this competition so it can be run this Sunday, June 28th, at Hadfield Bowling Club.

The venues used put time and effort in to ensure everyone can enjoy the days competition, so please enter so it can go ahead.

Contact the League Secretary, Cath Wain, with your names as soon as possible.

LEAGUE DOUBLES 2026 - CANCELLED

Unfortunately, this competition, which was due to be played at Peak Dale (hosted by Birch Hall) on Sunday 10th May, has been cancelled due to lack of entries.

Please do not let the other 2 League Competitions be cancelled due to lack of entries, get your names in as soon as you can.

Ladies Handicap, being held on 28th June, start time 10.30am, at Hadfield BC.

League Merit, being held on 30th August, start time 10.30am, at Great Rocks BC.

Hopefully these competitions will go ahead and entrants will have an enjoyable day.

LEAGUE COMPETITIONS

The North Derbyshire Ladies Bowling League competitions for 2026 are as in the Handbook and below. Posters on LHS of website homepage.
They all start at 10.30 and the fee is £2.00 per player, payable on the day. Closing date for entries 1 week before each competition.

10th May League Doubles at Peak Dale, hosted by Birch Hall
28th June League Handicap at Hadfield
30th August League Merit at Great Rocks

Please support these competitions as it will be disappointing if they are cancelled.

10TH May Merit Qualifier 11.00 start time at Matlock Golf Club. Entries by 8th May to Mandy Wilks. Qualifiers to play in final at Pennfield BC, Wolverhampton on 11th July.
31st May Dorothy Piearce Pairs Qualifier 11.00 start at Burbage BC. Entries by 30th May to Pam Nixon. Qualifiers to play in final at Spen Victoria, Yorkshire on 8th August.

BCGBA Ladies Merit

This competition is to be run on Sunday 10th May 2026 at Matlock Golf Club BC, Chesterfield Road, Matlock, DE4 5LZ, starting at 11.00am.

Please note: The BCGBA dress code applies to this qualifying competition and the Final.

The dress code is: smart trousers and a collared T-shirt.

Entry fee is £5.00
