Treasurers Report

The Treasurer distributed copies of the income and expenditure for the past year, which showed a bank balance of £609.25 an increase of £122.72. He highlighted a couple of expenses higher than previous years these being insurance and a present for our retiring Chairman. He said that since the Jack Bryning had to be abandoned no fees were collected and no prize money paid. He reported that the accounts were as yet unaudited since the auditor had been unwell, but was now recovered and the audit will be carried out soon. A rebate will be payable this year and he is to propose £16 per team which will leave our bank balance at £225.25 in line with rule 6.3.There were no questions Arthur Lamb (Goostrey) proposed the accounts be accepted. Seconded by Maryke Todd (Cranford)

Secretaries Report.

The secretary opened his remarks by thanking Mere Parish Club for the use of the room for our meetings and Geoff Owen who sets up the room for us. He also asked the delegate from Mere to convey our thanks to Alan Greenway for his help in setting up the room for our Presentation Evening. He thanked the various clubs who hosted our competitions and congratulated the winners. He said that since prize money still exceeds entry fees a few more entries would be welcome and he asked the team captains to ensure that their players were aware of the dates and venues of the competitions.
