League Meeting held Queens Hotel

The following Clubs were represented

J Derbyshire, T Burgess United Services
J Hutchinson, J Vaughan, Sale Queens F Price M.C.T.
The meeting was opened by the Secretary reading the minutes of the last meeting Nov 16th.
Mr J Derbyshire moved H Dixon Sec that the minutes be passed as a correct record.
It was moved & sec that we accept the apology of Mr T Burgess who had unfortunately to attend another meeting.
A letter was read from the MCT Bowling Club wherein it was stated that they were willing to become members of the League, providing everything was satisfactory at our next meeting.
The Chairman Mr W R Burke reported that Mr Wilfred Allen has agreed to become President of the League.
It was agreed that Mr R Johnson be made a Vice-president of the League. Mr F Price of the M.C.T. reported that he had given the particulars of the new League to a committee man connected with the Church Inn Bowling Club, but he was not prepared to say whether they would become members of the Sale & District League.
It was on the Agenda for Mr C T Oldham to give the meeting a report on the Broadheath Clubs who are interested, but we were informed that Mr Oldham was ill & this matter will come forward at our next meeting Jan 18th.
Several of the delegates were absent & Mr W Burke expressed the hope that we would have a good attendance at our General Meeting whereby we expect to know the number of Clubs who will join the League also election of officials.
It was moved that our best Thanks be given to Mr R Johnson for his kindness in allowing us the use of the room.
Mr A Jackson of 44 Park Ave Sale has promised to present a Cup for the League Championship, this offer was greatly appreciated at the meeting & the Secretary was instructed to write Mr A Jackson thanking him for his generosity.
