  1. Minutes of previous meeting Relevant items from the meeting held on 18th August 2016 were read out and added to the agenda under item 6.
  2. Matters arising There were no other matters arising
  3. Officers Reports
The Chairman had nothing to report this being the closed season. The Secretary confirmed that all officers were prepared to stand again for the coming season, but said that this should not preclude nominations. In the absence of the Treasurer the Secretary read a note from him apologising for his absence, but since it was his 50th wedding anniversary he felt on this occasion that it must take precedents. AP distributed copies of the accounts and went through the key points. Income during the year was £3485.40 and expenditure £2791.20 leaving a surplus of £694.20. He said that the Treasurer would propose to the AGM a rebate of £12.25 to each team competing in the 2016 season, which would leave a working float of £400.20 to comply with rule 6.3.
  4. Competition Venues
The Secretary advised the dates and venues for the 2016 competitions and asked the delegates to confirm that their clubs were prepared to host them.
    Individual – Railway Inn – Sunday4th June
Pairs – High Legh Bowling Club – Saturday 1st July
Mixed Pairs – Mere Bowling Club – Sunday 3rd September – this was originally Oughtrington, but they reluctantly declined to host due to parking problems.
Jack Bryning Team Pairs – Knutsford Bowling Club Monday 18th – Thursday 21 September and the final and third place play-off on Sunday 24th September
  5. Possible Proposals for AGM
Handicaps for Jack Bryning Team Pairs were discussed and splitting teams into groups of three from their league positions at the time of the draw could provide a solution. This would give a maximum differential of 21 points between the top three teams in division one and the bottom three teams in division 2. Example shown below from the final league positions at the end of the last season
